Oh boy, did we have allot of fun on this homeschooling road trip day!!
We went to Boskoppie, near Kroonstad in the Free State in South Africa. We looked at all the lions and other wild cats they have there and even had the enjoyment of playing with some baby lion cubs. I invite you to see what we saw on this homeschool road trip and experience what we did.
This is a day we won't forget soon, how many people can say they touched a lion? It is just sad that shortly after we were there, they were on a nature program where they were confronted with allot of allegations, that I choose not to go into at this stage (My intention is not to hurt them, just to show you how much fun we had). Weather these allegations are true or not, I cannot tell, because when we were there, we did not notice anything wrong. Don't know if we might have been ignorant. (Although one of the things they did mention was how expensive it was to go in, we were also shocked when we got there to find out that it was VERY EXPENSIVE, but we still enjoyed it)
It is funny how we as humans love playing with wild cats, especially when they are small. I think it is because we cannot touch them when they are really out in the wild. If I think back on how many humans were attacked by lions, it is scary, but most of the lions, tigers, cheetas and other wild cats we saw there were not wild.
Well, in the end this homeschooling road trip day was allot of fun and I believe we would do it again.
