Normally when doing bodybuilding, the most obvious food type to take allot of is protein, but let's take a look at the role fruits and vegetables plays in muscle growth.
The normal approach to muscle growth
There are many who feel the only way to get big and strong naturally is to eat massive amounts of protein.
As a matter of fact, we may have given ourselves over to the notion that we must be forcing these things into our body, even when our body is tells us to stop.
Sometimes it makes you wonder if there is a better way to gain muscle than this.
Building muscle naturally
An increasing number of people are discovering the fact that it is not necessary for you to eat this much protein in order to get big and strong naturally.
As a matter of fact, those who have gone over to the other side have even begun to notice that they are getting larger and stronger as a result of eating less of this type of protein.
I'm not saying that the body does not need protein at all, it is one of the essential things that keeps us going.
What I am saying, however, is that there are better ways for you to get this protein other than through a slice of chicken or an unnatural protein shake.
How protein works for muscle growth
In reality, protein is not something that our bodies can assimilate and it needs to be broken down into amino acids in order to be absorbed by the body and used for muscle growth.
Much of the protein that we also eat is dead protein because it has been overcooked or processed.
So what is the role of fruit and vegetables in muscle growth?
If you really want to give your body what it needs in order to grow strong, you need to provide it with these amino acids, the basic building blocks of life.
You can do this through eating a variety of fruits and vegetables, some of which are quite high in the protein that you need.
One of my favorite ways to get the protein and amino acids that my body needs in order to grow strong is by sprouting.
I regularly eat sprouts that have just begun to grow a tail, before they turn green.
Quinoa sprouts are some of my favorites, both because of the massive amounts of proteins that it contains and because it only takes a few hours to sprout.
Try it for yourself for a couple of weeks, you will be convinced of the positive effects.
